This Sked type litter is designed for use in mass casualty incidents or Haz-Mat incidents. Patients can be rolled or dragged onto the HMD Sked rather than lifted. This creates less rescuer fatigue and requires fewer rescuers to be exposed in the Hot Zone at a Haz-Mat incident. The HMD Sked can be easily dragged by personnel wearing level A protection or even pulled by a rope connected outside the area requiring level A protection. HMD Skeds can be stored and shipped stacked on pallets of up to 200 per pallet making them ideal for use in mass casualty incidents.

military-style stretchers. The top rail is a full one-inch diameter to make the stretcher easier to handle when carried for extended periods. The back support is molded High Density Polyethylene for greater durability.
